Compañía María Legarda, Pamplona
Festival Escena Navarra, 2013
Gypsies arrived in Navarre in Olite in 1435. Members of a nomadic people, they settled on the river banks, next to bridges and abandoned fortifications, keeping alive qualities such as good fortune, intuition, cunning and freedom. Nevo Drom speaks about that duende (gift) that accompanies gypsies on their historical journey, in which the stage elements, dance, theatre and the audiovisual are closely related. Made by gypsies and non-gypsies and by professionals and amateurs, this show is committed to coexistence not only in terms of artistic languages but also in terms of individuals.
“This show is dedicated to all the gypsies who came, were born and live in Navarre. To Manuel Echeverría and Rosa Mari Andueza“
