MOVEMENT WORKSHOP IN MOVINGEAST – LONDON
London, 2015
MOVE TO MOVE?
The workshop will focus on learning to use the body, identifying movement and postural habits and acquiring the tools necessary to modify them. Becoming aware of the skeleton, of the different parts of the body and their movements, of the need to stop, of breathing. This work will enhance your conception, perception and use of the body.
Butoh, Yoga, Chinese medicine, Alexander technique, and Anatomy of movement are some of the techniques that will be used to help necessitate a high physical presence – a presence imperative to performing in the moment, and a presence by which the audience are moved.
Aimed at professional actors, dancers and students with a curiosity and a desire to work with the body.
